Three dimensional laser based inspection and quality control is used in the direct comparison of new and old or theoretical and actual.

The inspection service that we offer is a fast, accurate and inexpensive process that will give your engineers / designers more time for a proper verification process. The service that we provide is to take your off tool samples, laser scan them to get accurate point cloud data, compare that data with your original 3D CAD model and give you a documented report, in full colour, showing the differences between the two. This means that with one glance of the report you will know what corrections, if any, are required to your tool. If required we can analyze at the 2D cross-section level for part assembly fit.

A quick calculation on how much time can be saved shows that if you saved 3 days of inspection time per part and there are 15 parts in your assembly that need inspection, then you would save 45 working days on your project from just one round of off tool sample runs. How valuable would 45 days be to your company in time to market?

Because our equipment is portable we can even travel to your toolmaker and scan the tool directly so that you will know the accuracy of the part before it is even trialed.
